    Are you dense, Nenem?

Yep... dense enough to be doing a masters degree at Cambridge! :D

    Read......and LEARN!

Learn to READ pickledpink.... my name is spelt N-e-n-e-n !It's quite easy, you only need to use two letters! It's even a palindrome if that helps!

Oh, and my property is Freehold - I own the land it's built on. And as for you saying the council could come along and and build a motorway through it...................:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:you're bonkers!

    Wrong again PP... :D
    And jealous.:p

 mmmmm.... let me think..... am I jealous of a condescending, arrogant **** sitting in his 'allegedly' half a million pound house (in all probability his bedroom in his Mum's house) coming on MSE to try and annoy people whilst worrying about how to conceal his tumbledrier and generally being a laughing stock?

    emmmmmmmm.... don't think so! :D

    I don't own, I rent.

I am responsible for all decoration, I am responsible for the maintenance of the gardens, I am responsible for the white goods in my kitchen.

I do get free service if anything goes wrong with my heating, roof etc but not all renters get the houses nicely decorated for them or the cooker included...in fact, my walls were a lovely shade of orange and pea green when we moved in  .

When we arrived here, we had one unit which constituted our kitchen, we put in a kitchen as the waiting list to have one done was (we were told) around 4 years and with a family, we just couldn't wait that long.....10 years later and we are still waiting! If we want tiles on the walls of the bathroom, we have to do that ourselves (obviously we have to get permission from the HA which they always give as it improves the property for the next tenant).

I am also classed as a social outcast as I live in a housing association house.

And yes, I work damn hard to keep it looking nice with the same pride as if I owned it.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Well they have dumbed down in this country - so that's hardly anything to brag about! And it depends on what you're reading...................some people take degrees in carpet cleaning these days!:rotfl:

Mind you, it probably doesn't matter what a middle-aged mature student such as yourself reads...........you're obviously only doing it to fill some sort of gap in your life. Or are you just bored of teaching at primary school?

And if you're trying to impress - it doesn't work. My sister has a PhD (yup, she's a doctor) and qualified in her 20's.:D

    WOW! Aren't you clever????!!!!!:T

Dammit, I'm mad - not to have worked that one out!:rotfl:

    Actually Nenen,

    I'm a SHE!

And I'll tell you something else....................as my bottom isn't the size of East Anglia it fits into a standard aircraft seat with ease!

And I don't need to take a degree to work out that a 19" seat on an aircraft will not accommodate a 54" bottom!:p

Oh, I've got one of those, but I got it automatically 3 years after getting my BA. If you are actually studying for a masters at Cambridge, then I wonder whether you are in fact a bit dense? :D:D
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

hmmm... not sure if you are insinuating I'm telling fibs! You can tell if someone got an automatic masters after their first degree at Oxford or Cambridge as it is an MA and has the letters (Cantab) after it to denote this. I will be studying for an MPhil... research based, so hopefully I'm not too dense after all! ;)

Don't assume you have to have a University education to be intelligent!!!!!
  • This thread is turning to be a witch-hunt. I guess the mods can close this thread - no meaningful discussion is coming out of this.
Recession - if you are forced to drink beer at your home.
Depression - if you have no beer to drink at all!
I don't see any of the above - so where is it (recession)?
