Super quiet washing machine wanted

Our Hotpoint Ultima Extra 1600 spin is on its last legs - out of guarantee period as its over 5 years old. We are going to let it live its last days washing the dog rugs and horse stuff!
Will now buy a second machine for good stuff, but want a super quiet machine, particularly on spin, as we have had nothing but noise with the existing machine since it was new - another story and the repairers have been really good with trying to fix it!
Can anyone recommend a machine please - don't want to fork out for a Miele unless I really have to!
Thanks.

Electrolux EWN13570W Inspire, LG WM12331 FD K or LG WM12336FD are the three quietest available. But ask yourself how long you want the washing machine to last. If you're happy buying a new one every 5 years or so, then get one of the above. If you want something to last a long time, then Miele is a good choice. Or try one of these http://www.iseappliances.co.uk/0

I have one of the LG direct drive machines (8kg 1400 spin) and the spin noise is low, the recirculation and drain pump are not that quiet though and cycle on and off regularly, maybe they are more noticeable because the spin is quieter.
The other issue is that the large drum tub bangs against the side case sometimes with an off balance load and in common with other machines the floor must be solid (laminate is the worst) to reduce vibration noise.
I am impressed by the direct drive technology - lower noise spin and no belt or motor brushes to wear, and choose it mainly for that feature. It is a big improvement in terms of performance and noise over the cheap Indesit washer dryer it replaced, but don't have much else to compare it with.0
