Dissatisfied with motor claim

Here is the problem:

air conditioning working before an accident.
Following a accident car was repaired and all seemed find.
Some months later when air con was next used it is not working.
During MOT found a section was sheared off. As it was working before accident and given the way it was damaged suspect either was damaged in the accident or damaged by the garage during the repair.

Garage and insurance company deny reponsiblity leaving a heafty reapir bill. Insurance company conducted an independant report and say it was due to "wear and tear". However can not show a copy of the report as it was "electronically generated".

I feel someone should be responsible for this, legally would it be the insurance company or the garage? Should the company have to produce a copy of the report?

Is this worth pursuing and if so how as talking with the garage and insurance company have failed?

    Cars do wear and tear

You have no proof at all the insurer the repairer or accident where to blame, you have no claim

and btw its not wise to leave air conditioning unused for several months as it causes faults
