Birthdays in Chester - Closing Down: many items 10p

I went to Chester on Wednesday and Birthdays was closing down. They had boxes being delivered, opened them up and charged 10p for each item.
I came away with two bags full of stuff and spent £1.60.

My father in law is 60 next month, so I got serviettes, a magnet with 60 on, and even a pint glass with 60 on which was previously £4.99 !!! Best bargains yet.

I don't know if this was the only store closing, but it might be worth checking it out if there's a Birthdays nearby.

I dont know if its still on. I would assume so as they had closing down posters in the window, and they were clearly just trying to clear as much stock as possible.

Hello, I thought I would post to say if anyone is going there please would you consider picking up some extra bits and posting them to a seriously ill child by going to www.postpals.co.uk Summer is always a horrible time to be stuck in hospital and so kids are in need of even more smiles during chemo, surgery etc

the one in newmarket closed this week and had same bargains, dont think its all birthdays. only rubbish bits were 10p as all good stuff went at 49p. got plenty of things for grandparents, like nan/grandad photo frames etc

It was fill a bag for £2 today at Chester - we got about 60 cards!

It was an effort to look through all boxes etc but well worth it. Not open till Monday now though.
