Shed Plans

Cheapaschips27 posted an offer some time ago to share shed design plans. Cannot find them, or reach him/her by PM.

Don't suppose anyone else in here has a copy ofthese plans?

THanks in advance...

Yes, they only posted the once; I hoped someone who had received said plans would still be registered and online.

    Many thanks.

For free plans available online look at all the links in my thread linked to above.
I spent a long time looking into it at the time and even started drawing up my own plans (as couldn't find ones i liked!). I bailed out when i started pricing out how much the timber cladding would cost and decided it would be cheaper to just get a self-assemble ready-made shed.

Yes I have seen all those threads. I understand where you are coming from, but it is a bit of a labour of love. I am sort of looking forward to building it to my own specification. Just thought that a basic design could be adapted. The buildeazy ones are quite complex, and pricey by materials. Many thanks.

Yes i know what you mean...was looking forward to building my own too - i'm still tempted its just the cost putting me off! When you look at the ready-made sheds they all look so flimsy!

I was going to adapt the buildeazy plan's. The sides and floor are fairly straightforward...i was going to use something like 4x2s spaced 2 feet apart with some noggins staggered between the verticals for the walls at about midway. The hard parts seem to be the roof, door, and windows.

For the window i was considering using 6 glass blocks that you cement together with special cement (can get them from wickes) - would be heavy (though i've no doubt the hefty framework would take it!). By inserting metal rods between the blocks and into the framework it makes it really secure.

For the roof i was going to do a similar thing to buildeasy plans and have an apex roof...but rather than covering with plywood first just attach corrugated bitumen sheeting that you can get from Wickes direct to the rafters. To finish off the roof you could add uPVC fascias and soffits - less to paint!

For the door either knock together your own or buy a standard external door and frame and fit into the shed framework. Could also buy a pre-made window but it works out expensive.

Trouble is my shed would be too good to rubbish it up with garden junk! Now i'm feeling inspired again to actually consider building my own again - maybe one day!
