Bosch Fridgefreezer

I have a had a Bosch KGN34V00GB fridgefreezer for near two years now & the fridge part has never really kept proper tempreture.
We have had to call them out twice
The first time the enginer said ohh yes this is a known fault ( so why did Bosch not contact me ) & 3 hours later it was working ok. The second time we call the enginer out he said its the same fault & its not worth fixing because it will go again in 3 - 6 months.
I thought Bosch were the standard bearers but this has put me right off them.
So as it stands we have a Fridgefreezer not working properly all our milk & basic comsumables are going off. This is not great considering we have a 2 year old child. So as it stands we are due to recive a new one from Bosch next Monday.
Spoke to customer services & all they can say is the quickest they can get a new one out is Monday & there is nothing they can do to compensate for our troubles.
Has anyone else had the same issues ?
Should they compensate ?
When we get this new unit as the original warrenty runs out in December will that be it for the new unit or will we get a further 2 years ?
