Closing a bank account!! help!!

Options
Hi Guys,

Sorry if this seems a bit dim!!

I have a postal account with the Birmingham Midshires and very rarely use it. I used to just pop into the local branch to take money out but since they shut all thier branches i can't do this anymore!
I want to close my account altogeather and so am writing a letter to them today, however i am a bit worried about how i will actually get the money. Will they send me a cheque through the post or do i have to provide them with my main bank account details (Natwest) so they can put the money straight in??
I do not want to keep the account, i just want the money!

Any help would be brilliant thanks! :)

They normally issue a cheque - unless the account with BM is linked to an account elsewhere, in which case they will BACS it to the link.
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !

If you register online, you can close online. I've done this in the past few weeks.
