Abbey National?

Is the Abbey National affilliated to other financial institutions? Like Capital One, Halifax (my creditors) or Barclays or Co-Op?

I have never had any dealings with the Abbey but I recieved the below. To me it doesn't read right and smells of scam.
Appologies if have posted this in the wrong place.

Looks like one of them phishing scams to me where you click on the link type in your details and they have your login details. I would forward or send it to abbey. Also if it was in an email then it most definitely is a scam as they would never email you like that.

They are still there I think, owned by Santander.



They are taking over A&L and merging with them I think though, or at least they were a few weeks ago.

oooops have deleted the e-mail, so can't forward it anyhere! (its Ok there is a big sign on my head that says prat!).

Thanks folks. Thought it was dodgy. Even the grammar didn't come over correctly to me.

Get them all the time. Does give you a funny turn when it's someone you actually bank with - not that I've ever received a Co-op phish!

That's Abbey, as I said Abbey National does not exist!

Yes but does it say "Abbey National"? My point is that they would not send emails headed Abbey National!
