Hi all,
Just got off the phone to o2 after a complaint i have had for 8 months it is now sorted and givin a goodwill gesture of £150 pound added to my account. i asked if i could use this towards a new phone and was told this is fine, i was put through to the upgrades where i was informed they have an offer on the nokia 95 8g for just £99.99 this is what they call a re-box means it is a phone that is sent back within the 14 days of a new contract stll comes with all the warranty.
Just though it may come in handy for someone out there down side is you have to have a contract with o2 already and you can only buy 1 per contract i. be quick though she said it is until the stock goes.
so in a nutshell
£99.99inc vat for the nokia N95 8g
No new contract( but must already have a contract with 02)
so as long as you dont mind it being a re-boxed phone then call them on 0800 005 005 and say you want to know what offers there are on the re-boxed phones
thankyou

Without wishing to put a downer on this offer, or the OP's suggestion of it, I thought I should mention the very poor experience I had with taking up a similar offer from O2. In my case I was due for an upgrade and was offered a re-boxed N95 (not one of the new 8g ones) with a £100 credit. Very nice offer, thank you very much. Unfortunately the phone came to me with a faulty charger (perhaps the reason why the phone had been returned in the first place?) and O2 were out of stock of replacement chargers. I went through an awful lot of messing around trying to get a working charger (and this was all happening over Christmas and New Year, which didn't help), including at one point them sending out a replacement package that turned out to be a replacement handset with no charger (God bless the poor delivery man who had to deal with my attempt at a good reaction to that!). When I asked O2 customer services whether they actually check re-boxed phones before sending them back out to new customers they said yes they do, but they only check the basic functions, not every feature (personally, I'd call a working charger a fairly basic function, but what do I know...?). I wouldn't go so far as to say don't take up an offer like this, but if you're getting a re-boxed phone allow plenty of time before you expect to be actually using it.
Also, in my experience the nokia N95 isn't a particularly great phone. It has a lot of great features but every now and then it freezes (every couple of weeks or so, sometimes more) and needs turning off and back on again. It's never done this in the middle of anything particularly crucial but it is a bit of a pain and everyone I know who has the same handset has experienced this (about 4 or 5 other people). Maybe they've ironed out these glitches for the 8g version, but it's something to be aware of - check out user reviews before you jump in, I'd say.
Nonetheless, a good tip from OP for someone who wants this phone and doesn't mind taking a chance on it being re-boxed (btw, re-boxed phones have the same warranty conditions as a new one, or so I was told, so if it all goes horribly wrong you can still send it back for a full refund).0 -
hi, i think this is a pretty good offer - i recently upgraded to this same phone and there were no such offers at the time (less than a month ago) as they all came with contract of at least £35 a month. the 8gb version is (supposed to be) more stable and battery etc should be improved - so far i've had few problems aside from trying to get it to pair with an apple mac, and other such issues i had not realised would be issues! good luck to anyone who does get it!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I rang them just now. One adviser said they only have the 1GB N95 @ £75. Said I will think about it. Rang back 10 mins later and was told only available on upgrades... Anyopne else try this?0
