Little Mommy Toddler & Playset

Hi, I am thinking about purchasing the Little Mommy Toddler & Playset from Argos at £19.99 but can only locate one in Colwyn Bay which is about 62 miles away. Before we make that journey, does anyone have this and is it any good for a doll obsessed 2 year old?

    Hi,
I bought this last Christmas for full price, for my then 4 year old (Boxing Day Birthday) she had seen it in the shop. Within a month it had deveolped a mechanical flaw, and when it said some of it's phrases it kind of stuttered and sounded demonic. We took it back and as there were none left were refunded.
When in March the set was reduced to £14.99 at Argos, I purchased one and put it away. I then realised that by Xmas my daughter would be 5 and getting a bit old for it. So I gave it to her 2 weeks ago. This to has the same demonic stutter. My 4 year old is not interested, my 2 year old quite likes it, but definately prefers baby Annabell! This Mommy doll says 'Your my button' and 'up up momma' and other american phrases that my 2 year old does not realy get. (She thinks it says 'your my bottom' which is hilarious. The flaw does mean it sounds awful, and if I could find the receipt, I would return it. The play set is hideous. The doll can't sit on the toilet properly and is too big for a small child to fit in the high chair. It is tricky to fit together and comes apart easily, a lot of the pictures are cardboard which 2 yr old took out and drew on with the pen provided for the whiteboard. It really is very disappointing and kept them amused for about 2 hours.
I certainly would not advise anyone to drive 62 miles to get one. And it's gone up in price. I think your fuel money and £19.99 could be spent on a much better toy personally!!!

Thanks, your 2 year old sounds pretty much like my 2 year old. I think she would also draw on it and probably just chew the cardboard bits. Might have a rethink. Just thought she would like it as I have never met a little girl so into dolls (or babies as she calls them). Thanks again you've saved us a wasted journey.

She says "do my button" not "you're my button":rotfl:

Then if you do the button she says "that tickles"

...and she counts up to 'twenny'. Drives me to distraction.

My 4 year old loves her though.
