Data cables on ebay

Has anyone ever bought one of these data cables from ebay for their phone to connect it to a USB port?

If you have bought one of these did it work? Was it easy to set up? Any problems?

I bought a Samsung cable. Did the job fine, tho it did require a little bit of software modification to change some codes..
but you find any bugs yourself when you search google.
Not sure about Motorola.
Your best bet may be to search under "data cable motorola problems" on google..

Do that before you commit and you can see what you are getting into in advance..
perhaps add your own phone into the search too..

Used various cables - most from ebay , usually work OK , but software can be difficult

bought two one for a nokia and one for a motorola.

the worst bit is the software that came with the cables is a little out of date, but once installed and then used the inbuilt check for updates..... tis ok now
