My wife keeps getting text messages with a download attachment ... that does not seem to download anyway

annoying, but not causing any great harm ... except when she is on call at night , and if they come at night , they wake me up ( and I have trouble getting back to sleep)

Ring the number back... not attainable, try and text STOP ... can't send

dopne some searching ... sounds like it might be Symb/Comwar-A

( she does not have a symbian / Nokia phone- maybe thats why it does not download - she does not therefore seem to be passing it on)

----

Edit , as typing this I called it again.... got her Nephew .... his phone got a virus !

  • That Virus will only run on a Symbian Handset, if the virus doesn't run it won't pass itself on. My wifes keeps getting these on her Motorola V600, we just delete them, yet to find out who's got the virus though.

I checked the sender...and phoned back ( does not seem to hid / mask it)

Yeah |I was not that bothered as it was not downloading... but after losing 3 hours sleep after getting woken by it this time, decided to check it out
