Halifax credit card limit

According to Halifax;
You can ask us to consider a change to your credit limit as long as:
- When you applied for your card you did not take the full credit limit that was offered to you
- You have held your card for at least 6 months
Is this an 'AND' or an 'OR' statement do you think? I did take the full credit limit at the time but (more than) six months have passed.

Any thoughts/experiences to share on raising your limit 'mid-promotion'?

Thanks

    It's an OR statement.

    I've just reduced my Halifax limit mid-promotion (there's method in my madness...honestly! ;)), and was told even though I'd sliced £7K off it they would not be able to increase it again for 6 months...no matter what!

    My vote would be for "OR" - otherwise they would be saying that if you took the full credit limit offered when you applied that you would NEVER be able to apply to increase the limit regardless of changes in circumstances.

    It's OR. I took the max offered to me in Feb 07, I applied to increase it in Jun 08. They said 'No you can't have £700 extra but you can have £500 extra'

    Lol

I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

    I'm glad you asked the question Milarky ... I've been wondering the same thing as I'll have held my Halifax card for 6 months at the end of July and was confused by the 2 statements ..

    Looks like it is an 'OR' then. (Good!) It had occurred to me that if this did require both conditions satisfied then, as a moneysavingexpert tactic, new Halifax cardholders should be advised to ask for a credit limit reduction of £1 when activating their accounts!

    Update: Had a limit of 2700 put in for 3900 got 3200 by return. Better than a poke in the eye.....
