DAP Cashback
I recently cancelled my contract with o2 after 12 months.
I didn’t realise that to claim the cash back from DAP; the account had to be active. (I thought that the contract was for 12 months only)
Having contacted DAP a number of times, they agreed that the money would be paid into my o2 account, they even sent a letter confirming that payment would be made.
I have contacted both 02 & DAP a few times since then, but o2 insist no payment has been made, whereas DAP insist they have paid this amount?
What should I do now?
Thanks

I can see the problem DAP have got. If your contract with O2 is terminated, how can they pay the airtime cashback in to your account?
I am on the same deal so I will have this problem in 9 months time myself. I was guessing that I would probably have to keep the contract for 14 months to use all of the credit I will have at the end of month 12.
Anyone got a better solution?0 -
DAP told me that the amount was paid at the beginning of July, at which time my o2 account was still active as I still had to pay my last bill.

when I had a similar deal with DAP on vodaphone wherby I was receiving an airtime credit at month 12, after I received my cashback to my account, i gave notice to terminate even though I had a credit balance.
I then requested a refund of the credit once I had received my final bill from vodaphone which was credited to my bank a/c0 -
I have just completed a 12 month contract with 02 which at month 12 had a 8 month credit added to my o2 account.
I had to keep my contract going for approx another 6 weeks during the processing for DAP to add the credit to my O2 account.
Once this had been done I rang o2 who in turn have refunded the money via BACS back into by bank account.
Only then did I give my cancellation notice.
I hope this helps.
