Have been looking into mobile phone tariffs (through Martin's links)
I over-estimated my useage a little, but can't believe the deal found is for real!!
I would get a Nokia 3120 on O2. 200 + 100 texts tariff
Free line rental for 12 months (normally £30.00 per month)
Free handset
Double minutes + double texts for 3 months.
All for £0.99 per month!!!!
Can't help thinking there must be a catch somewhere!! Any advice anyone?

Is this one of those free for 12 months but with an 18 month contract?
Perhaps when you use your allowance up the costs are massive. Just speculating here as I'm afraid I don't know!0 -
Usually, you pay the normal monthly rental and then apply for rebates periodically throughout the year, to a very demanding timescale. There are some offers which are at NIL cost adn you can even make a profit by getting discounts/bonus points via Greasypalm/RPoints! These offers are not for those who suffer from inertia by nature!"Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0

Not sure, it said subject to a 12 month contract! I wouldn't go over the useage anyway, but can't help thinking that, if something's too good to be true then it probably is!!!
Peak calls (normal rate) were 40p per minute, off peak 10p per minute & texts were 12p!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Thats just the typical O2 calls charges outside of the rental, so your not getting anything else that is more expensive.
You are given an older to phone, as they dont need to displace the price of the monthly rental to cover the phone, so you are saving money there.
You are getting a cashback, which is like pay £32 for 12 months but get cheques back for £124.. every three months or so.
It maybe an 18month contract, meaning you will have to pay £3oish for hte last 6months.
Is there a link for us to look at if possible, and can try and help you more0 -
Thanks all!
Have looked into terms/conditions etc. It is a cashback deal, with a 12 month contract. Don't know whether I like the idea of that (having to apply for cashback) can forsee problems! Think I'll give it a miss and stick with my PAYG!!
Thanks for all the advice though!!:A20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100
