To round off my previous threads...
I know Barclaycard review the limit upon application after 6 months...but does anyone know what increases they tend to apply.
My card limit is currently £260.

The maximum crdit limit on a initial card is £2500. After that they upgrade the card to a standard barclaycard, only difference you see is the name initial drops off the internet screen. Unless you ahve an old card that stated initial then that will be replaced when its due to expire with the good old blue looking one.

tJust check Barclaycard have your correct salary on their system. A friend of mine had problems getting a decent credit limit despite having a fab income and credit history.

Turns out on the intial application the person processing his application forgot to imput his salary! It wasn't until he went to cancel it due to a silly credit limit that he found out.

Take my thoughts on this...look at the interest rate on a Barclaycard Initial and then panic if you've maxed it out and your limit is over £500-I think it is a VERY expensive credit card for that aimed at under 21's or for first time credit card holders....ALWAYS READ THE SMALL PRINT!!!
Loan-£3600 only 24 months of payments to go!!!
All debt consolodated and cards destroyed!!
As D'Ream would sing 'Things.....can only get better'!!!

    brunouk,

How did you get such a big jump, did you reapply or was it automatic.

My limit has moved after 15mnths from 2000 to 1900 after 1st month then to 2500 with a upgrade to standard card and reduction in int rate.

    Regards

    John
