Hi all
Further to my earlier post on the Debt-Free board I'd like to take some advice on possibly getting my Mortgage payments down.
I currently pay £730 on an 18 year Repayment mortgage with the Coventry Building Society. Its a 2 yr fixed rate -not sure what exact % rate is as i'm at work at the mo but I think it may be 5.25(??).I'm 3 payments in.Due to a poor credit history I don't really think I got the best available rates.
My mortgage is one area you good people suggested I look at in terms of trying to get my monthly outgoings down..
Although I am fairly comfortable paying this I was wondering if anyone has been in this position in approaching Coventry to see what they can do.
I don't really want to take out another mortgage over a longer period as i feel this would be a step back.
Any ideas please on options for me in this position and how would I approach the Coventry..??
Thanks as always for any advice..
Terry
