Vodafone Bill !!!
Pls help me, My phone was blocked by vodafone last week after giving them 1mnth notice of my intention to end the contract. I later was told that I have to pay £135 for last month and another £115 this month even though since I have being wiith them for a year my bill never exceeded £25. I was shocked and asked for the itemised bill. I realised my other payg t- mobile was dialled for over 1hr and another time for over 30mins. which led to the outrageous bill. but there is no way that can be possible bc they are both my phones, always with me and I will be crazy ringing my self and picking the other up. So how can I prove it that I did not make those calls and believe me the phone was never with anyone it's always with me and was never lost or missing has anyone heard of this b4 could it be a scam or what I need an answer pls . Someone help me.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

Hi, I would firstly ask you if you keep your keypad locked the whole time? I apologise if that's an obvious question - but I've forgotton at times.
If you are being scammed - I have a rather unusual suggestion to make! I read weekly mags (ok - I have no life!) and you could try writing into one of their help pages with all your info and photocopies (not the original bills) - you'd be amazed how they love to deal with the larger companies and win!
I'm sorry I can't offer you proper help - but I'd happily supply with the full addresses of these magazines and the info they require in case that helps?
Good luck with your battle

I did find it odd rather that two phones owned by the same person should ring each other and answer each other on more then one occassion without Human help. But i was going to give the OP a sensible reply. But i then i read the the statement at the bottom at the OP.
"No reliance should be placed on the above".

Do you by any chance reset your call timers every month? handy way of keeping track how much of your allowance you have used or if you went over. The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0

Probably not a great help but my son had a similair problem with his phone. It turned out that like pennyuk suggests he hadn't locked it and he had hit a 'hot key' which dialled the home phone number.
He did this several times during the course of a week before we realised what had happened and he started to lock his keypad. Luckily for us though we had an answering machine on, so we didn't end up with huge bills as after a few minutes the machine just cut of the incoming call.
Phones dialling numbers when kocked or carried in a pocket is a well known problem, there was a report somewhere that many of the 999 calls are mobiles phoning in by accident.
Going back to the Op, it is extremely unlikely to be any sort of scam, the fact that it dialled your other phone rather suggests either a hot key issue or a 'last number dialled' recall problem. Might it be worth talking to Vodaphone to see if they will help you with the bill as a goodwill gesture?

I am still in a wonder land thanks for all you good replies but you honestly my phone has an auto lock after 1mins of none use, and it goes to voice mail after ringing, so I still cann't figure it out....No reliance should be placed on the above.0

Vodafone have no conceivable way of knowing what your other number is, and coincidentally falsely charging you for calls to it.
If the T-mobile goes to voicemail, then try listening to the message. If there isn't one, or anyway, look at the call registers in both phones.0 -
1 hr and 30 mins = 90 mins , even at 40pm ( are any xnet calls hgher than this on Vodafone? ) thats only £36 extraAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

Even if you've been with them over a year, have you recently had a new phone? This would count as a new contract, and subject to charges for early cancellation (ie pay the rest of the rental).0
