United Utillities Arrears Allowance Scheme
Hello, Wonder if anyone can help, in 2014 United Utillities offered me the option of joining the arrears scheme due to an outstanding bill. I got into further difficulties couldn't afford to pay and was taken off the scheme. In August 2014 I contacted them to reset the direct debit up and to go back on the scheme. I knew I…

Serious question re surface water :)
OK don't mock as this has bugged me for a while and I'm sure there's a blindingly obvious answer. On water bills, we pay for "surface water" charges ("rain or melted snow that drains from the roof of your property and other impermeable areas such as driveways") Do people who live in blocks of flats, ie sharing a roof with…

I am 'confuseddotcom'
Firstly, I am 70 this year, so no doubt that will answer my question! My Southern Water bill arrived to day and I am £0.27 in credit - Not a lot but in credit. Not sure if other providers are the same. https://www.stwater.co.uk/category/1068 If I have chosen to have a meter fitted do I have the right to go back to an unmetered charge? You have the right to go back to an unmetered charge if you tell us that…

Plumbing and drainage plus policy
Hi, we keep getting asked by Anglian Water to sign up for the above policy. Covers water supply pipes from the boundary up to and including the drainage/water in the home. Covers leaks, burst pipes, blocked drains etc. Has anyone any experience of this cover? Is it any good or a waste of money? Thanks for any help.

Overestimated bill help? And do I have a right to know when water meter was read?
We have been living in a rented property for 1 year. On move-in day, we were given meter readings for gas and electric, but not water. We asked where the meter was and the letting agent did not know, we looked in all the usual places and also couldn't find it (In hindsight this is where we should have made a bigger fuss,…

Where to go now, 5 years of sewage flooding.
