Digital tv's...
Digital TV's... Direct view tube: Also known as direct view, a tube television is the closest thing to the one baby boomers watched when they were kids. The picture device is a CRT, which is a specialized vacuum tube. All science aside, CRTs come in all shapes and sizes up to about 40-inches. They feature a good picture…

Sky Freesat - can I hide missing channels?
I recently got my old sky box plumbed in as a 'freesat from sky' box. The only thing is the menu still shows all the channels, even the ones I don't get (eg sky 1) which is really annoying and makes surfing and finding channels I do have tedious. Anyone know of a way to hide unwanted channels in the menu?

Rubbish programmes on many channels: why?
It is a long time since I watched TV, but I have good memories of "Play for Today" and the Dennis Potter dramas, and some great documentaries that really made you think... Now with this new digital TV, all I can get is the most brain-numbing 'entertainment'. Designed to snuff out any thought processes in the viewer, and…

PVR and Sky
Hi We have a PVR which is gathering dust, as we have Sky+. The reception around here is very poor, so I was wondering whether we could get the PVR conected to sky somehow? It seems a bit extreme to fork out for an expensive extended aerial for the spare room. Any thoughts?

Problem extending Sky cable
I've rearranged our living room this week, and already have spare cable/connectors. I've connected it all up, and the sky box doesn't receive a satellite signal. I've checked enough of the copper wire is peeking out the middle, and that the connectors are done up tightly, and I've used 2 different cables, but still not…

However the new sky box is now connected via hdmi cable but each time the…
