RJ45 to Thunderbolt question
Hullo. Can anyone pls advise whether this adaptor will work with a 2021 MBP having thunderbolt 4 ports: https://www.amazon.co.uk/UGREEN-Ethernet-Adpater-Thunderbolt-Nintendo/dp/B07M8GSLQB They only say it is compatible with 2020 MBP and earlier, which is presumably an earlier port

How on earth do you (legally) buy/download music these days?
I could hop on YouTube & acquire it that way but I want to do it via proper means. It's been that long since I bought any new music that the 'old ways' seem to no longer exist? I'm not interested in streaming at all so that rules out most of what search results are telling me. And I'm not looking at illegally getting music…

It looks like the thing I'm after but I've never heard of this brand. Has anyone heard of them and is it any good? Just want a cheap MP3 player with Bluetooth. Apps / WiFi so I…

What's this cable?
Found on floor of mil's cupboard. She'd recently taken delivery of a second-hand mob scooter, but don't know if it's connected. Cable has a 'DC' style plug at one end as shown, small, around 2.5mm? The other end has a solid moulded block, with 'Tek' embossed on it. What the?! Cheers.

Editing pdf files
I don't often get pdf forms to fill out, so I haven't had much experience with them.It seems that sometimes they can be edited, and sometimes they have to be printed and filled out manually. And sometimes the manual ones can be edited after going through various menus (though I've never understood what has changed). If I…

Apple USB to USB C Adapter not working?
I bought a USB to USB C adapter to use along with a SanDisk flash drive in order to back up my photos from my iPhone 15. But the SanDisk app doesn‘t recognise when the adapter in inserted in to the iPhone. The flash disk works fine when inserted directly in to a computer. So that can’t be the issue. I bought an Anker…

Printers!
My cheap Epson XP 4205 is printing blank. I tried everything. I'm really tired of cheap printers with expensive ink that do not last a year. I'm willing to spend £200 max but not sure whether to go for a laser or a tank? I need cheap running costs. I'm not a huge printer (printerer?) but it goes in phases. Recommendations?

Facebook lurking!
Hi - Confession! I've lurked on a particular person's profile out of curiosity on Facebook. I don't use it to communicate socially with people (I'm anti-social :D ), I just use it occasionally to look at other Facebook stuff whereby you need an account to do so. Anyway, I noticed that I had a friend suggestion from this…

Is Microsoft trying to take over everyone's PC again?
Every so often I start up to find Microsoft wanting to 'set up my computer on both my Windows 10 laptop and Windows 11 PC. These aren't essential updates, but it seems to encourage the use of more Microsoft apps or even replacing other apps with theirs. It's almost impossible to bypass this because it only gives me an…

Recycle old software CDs?
Hello everyone, Does anyone know if it's possible to recycle old software CDs? I don't mean music CDs or games - I've been having a clear-out and found a couple of HP 'software and documentation' CDs (I think for an old printer and monitor). I'd really rather not just chuck them in the bin as that's harmful, but sites like…

Google's Find My Device - and other trackers
I've been using Samsung's version of these devices (SmartTags) for some time, in luggage, personal bags and one in the car. With the imminent arrival of Google's entry into this market I've ordered myself a credit-card sized tracker (Samsung don't have this form) for use in my wallet - which I now realise is marked "RFID…

USB adaptor
Hi all I'm fairly certain I'm looking for a unicorn but thought I'd ask on here just in case...... My car has a single USB port for media. I could do with a second port so I can plug in a USB drive (for music) and my phone (for maps, etc) at the same time. I know, for computers, you can get a USB hub to increase the number…
