Microsoft problems
I'm not at all techie, so please keep any advice simple! Microsoft is giving me all sorts of problems. I pay for cloud storage for my important stuff, but Microsoft Onedrive interferes with the working of that. Is there any way that I can permanently switch it off? I'm also considering ditching Microsoft altogether as my…

Can I edit these videos somehow?
Several years ago, my wife paid for some downloads of instructional videos. The ones I've managed to find seem to be ordinary mp4 or WMV files. She no longer needs to refer to much of the content, so is there any way we can edit out the bits that are now irrelevant but keep the bits she's still learning from?

Now I hate having a TV in the bedroom and…

TPLink WiFi Extenders
I've just purchased a TPLink Wifi Extender starter kit (to replace what I thought were faulty BT PowerLine extenders) but I'm hitting the same problem. I've installed the extenders, cloned the WiFi name (the original TPLink SSID has disappeared so I'm assuming that bit went OK) but, when I plug in the extender where I need…

Panasonic TV not playing sound from devices plugged in via HDMI
Thought it was Virgin box initially but just plugged in a Fire stick to another HDMI port (and tried both in all of the three ports) and none have any sound. Using the native Freeview/apps installed in the TV means sound works perfectly. It's via an external Samsung soundbar and nothing else had changed. TV was new…

Etsy photos uploading sideways from new Samsung phone
I just got a new Samsung phone and since I got it the photos I take are uploading to Etsy sideways. The only way I can fix it is to take all my photos landscape but this makes a lot of my photos look too wide with too much surrounding background showing. I take hundreds of photos so editing every single one of the will be…

Argh. Transferring files from sil's Lenovo laptop before I do the clone (yes, safety first...)
