5 and half k newly stoozed from Morgan Stanley onto my Egg card ready for an SBT. Good so far. I've also just changed my main current account from Abbey to Alliance and Leicester to partly take advantage of the big referral pay outs. Again all good. When i then logged onto Egg to do a balance transfer the account number…

Need advice, is this scheme ok or not?
I have a Mint card previously used for its 9 months interest fee. Thats run out now so I shifted the debt. It has credit card cheques facilities so its a SBT card. I don't owe any money on it but I use it to max out new cards by balance transferring to it to the Mint card, leaving it in credit. I then write out a credit…

RBS - Quick Questions
Dear All If any one can answer these quick questions on the RBS 9month 0% offer, it would be much appreciated: 1. Are these still fee free? No mention on their website that there is a fee to pay, therefore assuming not. 2. Seems from other discussions that they can take a long time to set up, do you have to BT on opening…

Egg BT fee?
Hi Does anyone know when Egg started charging BT fees? Specifically, I got my Egg card around Feb 05 and my 5 month 0% anniversary deal is due next March. However, they have told me there will be a 2% charge on the BT. Is that right? I thought all existing card holders who applied before May 05 would always get fee free…

Quickest application, biggest limit
I have taken my eye off the ball of late, and my stooze pot has dwindled from nearly 60k in the early summer to one 0% card (Abbey) with £9700 on it. This runs out on 10th November. I still have Egg, TSb platinum, TSB Advance, Mint, Goldfish cards but with little or nothing on them. What card am I best applying for in the…

New stoozers
I'd be interested to hear from you experienced lot how a 'new' stoozer gets started. I have a credit card which I use more like a 50 day 0% overdraft, paying it off in full every month. So I have no 'balance' to transfer in the first place. I seem to have missed the boat with SBTs now drying up, and, as you lot say, the…

Got My Dates Wrong!
Hi I've been using 0% BT's for a while now to move a small debt and to make overpayments on a flexible mortgage. I've got a slight problem - I have 2 cards where the 0% deal ends on 1st Feb 2006 but my anniversary offer from Egg doesn't start until the same date. If I transfer to Egg on 1st Feb will I have to pay a whole…

Beware Mbna Bt Expiry
Many of you will be aware of this but others may not be. I applied for a MBNA CC 6 months ago and BT'd £4,500 which has earned me a nice amount of interest thank you:D . I was aware that the BT was due to be repaid in October and expected it to be shown on the relevant statement which should have been the one I received…

Banks call for data-sharing on personal credit histories
Following story from today's Guardian: Stories of customers with wallets stuffed full of credit cards, stacked up with more debt than their holders can afford to repay, have become commonplace amid the outcry about the level of personal indebtedness in Britain. Now, for the first time in recent years, the banking industry…

What credit limit can I expect?
I'd be interested to get into stoozing but with my credit limit being fairly low it doesn't seem a worthwhile exercise. I noticed with surprise that some of you seem to have 5-figure credit limits. My CC limit of £1600 never seemed odd to me as I have never ever borrowed to buy. I am aware of the various articles and…

If you have Barclay 0% LOB
If you managed to get a Barclaycard 0% life of balance card and are still paying off the minimum payments you may have just received new cards, mine has just passed its second anniversary and I did (maybe they replace cards after two years?) SBT credit reference agencies
