How do they do it? (Biggest Loser type progs)
Most of the people on the Biggest Loser and other similar weight loss/exercise programs, are really very big. From Day 1 they are pretty much chucked in at the deep end and expected to exercise like a crazy person. Working on the assumption most of them haven't exercised in years, how do they do this without injuring…

Gym changing conditions? Swimming Pool advice please.
Could I have some advice on my options regarding the swimming pool at the gym near my work? I checked the water…

Pruhealth & Virgin Active
I've never been a gym goer as I've always worked out at home using p90x, Insanity and similar. However, 2 years of doing that fairly relentlessly has ruined my knees. Now I need to do something lower impact for the forseeable. Though the idea of gym and machines doesnt really appeal, swimming does. The nearest pool to me…

Good BMI but poor Body Fat Percentage
For any fitness expert who might be lurking here, could I ask if you would find it odd for someone in her early 40s who has a BMI of 21, who works in the gym (zumba, treadmill, tennis, some weights), eats seemingly healthily (no red meat, no fast food or high fat dishes, no cheese), would have a body fat percentage of 29%?…

Hi all, I'm really sorry if this is the wrong place to post but I've not found any other. I've recently moved and as part of unpacking I found some brand new trousers I'd bought ages ago in the sales and hadn't worn so I thought I'd wear them to work. To my horror they didn't fit so I tried another pair only to find that,…
