Tips on buying and selling gold for the short term
Hey everyone! I have some disposable income each month, and I’m thinking of putting it into physical gold. The reason I want to invest in gold is that it should be easy to convert back into cash if I need it quickly. Plus, since it's in the form of bars or coins, it’s not something I can easily spend like my regular…

Govt Child Trust Fund
I had one child given 2 amounts and the others only received the one payout due to date of birth. I invested all in same places and took guidance from MSE, moving them around about 5 times. Trying to Locate Old Cheltenham & Gloucester Account
My father setup a savings account (as trustee) for my son with Cheltenham & Gloucester in the late 90's. Since my father's death a few years later we have lost track of the account. Upcoming budget - how soon can measures take effect?
There's a budget coming up on 30 October. As a rule, how soon after a budget do measures announced therein take effect? I don't mean unavoidable things like fuel tax rises but costs that we can take steps to avoid. Would there be time to take those steps after the budget before the new measures kick in or should we now…

Understanding HL fees
I've got a SIPP with HL. I read this page: https://www.hl.co.uk/help/income-and-fees/fees-explained/annual-charges Now, in the SIPP section, it says I pay 0.45% on my first £250k. Let's say I have £250k in a SIPP, that would be £1125 p/a in fees. However, someone told me that if that SIPP is invested only in either shares…
