My other half got told last year at the end of November that there are going to be redundancies at his place of work, and judging by what they said, he is one of the ones to be made redundant. Apparently the first lot leave in February. He had his first interview, where they outlined the system they are using for each…

Processing job applications - tips
Having just read the interview technique tips thread I just thought I would share an HR strategy that I read about a few years ago for screening CVs. Apparently, this guy used to randomly throw half the CVs he received straight into the bin. This weeded out the naturally unlucky candidates. Just thought I’d share this.

Not only is it an essential tool when job hunting, it will also remind you what you've achieved in the past, and what skills you possess, which will help maintain your confidence. Could anyone tell me whether he would be entitled to JSA again after such a short period of employment?

What happens if company goes into administration?
Not for me but a question for a friend (no, really it is!) He works for a large company and is entitled to about 14 months worth or redundancy pay. If the company goes into administration would he still get this or is it then just if the Company has enough money left or does it have to ringfence this money somewhere? Thanks

Good luck, all.
We have to hope that this Forum is itself redundant, as quickly as possible.
