PCP claims, are they a scam?
Hi - new to the forum. I was wondering if there are any genuine PCP claims out there that have been processed/successful, or are they just a scam. I was contacted a while back and was told that due to my credit score being good at the time and that I was charged 6.3% when it should have been much less I had a case. I was…

Need advice
Hi, in 1986 I took out a loan with NatWest. I made several attempts to claim ppi as I knew they sold me ppi because they said I couldn't have the loan unless I signed to have it although I didn't want it. Eventually after telling me I never had ppi they wrote to me out of the blue to tell me that I did have it, and I was…

Help please re claim for compensation
He. Applogies if this is the wrong forum for posting this message. While staying at a holiday rental house a family member stepped into a rabbit hole that was in a child's play area and broke a bone in her foot. We submitted a claim in September 2021 and the insurance company admitted liability in Novemer 2021. They asked…

Conservatory roof claim - new panel or new roof..?
We had a conservatory roof panel (polycarbonate) damaged in the storm which now needs replacing. I’ve been told it can be replaced but that due to the age of the rest of the panels it will look completely different and stick out like a sore thumb - not just because they’re old/discoloured but because the panels are made in…

Mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance
Hi, can anyone advise if it's still possible to claim mis-sold PPI insurance? I knew I had some back in the early 90's, but had no records due to paying off the mortgage and domestic upheavals. However, the company involved, Cardif Pinnacle, has just written to me in error, so I now have all of the policy details. A quick…

Gladstone did a claim for me that concluded in 2020 Feb/March. Then covid hit lockdowns etc and I heard nothing more from them. I did put the amount I owed them to one side and haven't spent it. Which is fine, except I never applied for a rebate. I just rang them and they said a company made the claim on my behalf. It was a bad line and I couldnt…

Have I just put 20+ years of premiums down the pan?? :-(
In the mid 1980's I was a driving instructor and took a loan out to but a new car. I covered the loan with a short term income protection plan ( sickness and unemployment) that I probably bought through an independent broker. I kept the policy going because I kept on renewing my cars. I think the original insurer then sold…

PCP
Wondering if I could get any sort of insight on what I’m able to do or if anything is able to be done. I had a car on HP through Evans Halshaw, I had this for roughly 2 years until I wanted a change and seen a nice car at the same garage I got this from. So went in, test drove it loved it and asked if we could basically…

Life assurance
I have a life assurance in trust. The trustees are myself and my brother. If I die he’s the sole trustee which I’m wanting. Is this ok? I heard that having just one trustee could void an insurance and other than myself and I am the one insured he’d be the only trustee in the trust and the beneficiary.
