As the title says, what is it about cycling you wish you knew when you started out.. I will get the ball rolling with how addictive it is.

Create Bicycles
Does anyone have any experience with this manufacter/brand? I'll admit that I was seduced by how they look but as there isn't a stockist nearby, I'm unable to try one, but if they're worth it, I'll make the journey to London to try one out. I've seen mixed reviews on the Internet but it's a nightmare trying to find a…

Why does East Coast show fares that you can't buy?
When I go search train journeys it often comes up with prices that you simply cannot buy. None of them show up as available for journeys. Is this actually allowed? Is there a reason as to why its done? In the example below under single journeys you can see a fare from £10.85 to £133.75. Yet there is no fare at either…

Anyone used Left Luggage at Victoria Coach Station recently?
Am planning to travel into/out of London by coach specifically because of the left luggage facility where I'll be able to leave a large case overnight. I've read the details on the Coach Station/TFL site but wondered if anyone has recent experience of it e.g is it opened as advertised, is it likely to be full, etc etc?

Comprehensive bicycle insurance - is it worth it?
I am going to start cycling to work (in London) and am thinking about getting bicycle insurance. Do any cyclists out there think that comprehensive bicycle insurance that includes personal accident cover is worth it, or do most people just stick to accident & theft, or just not bother at all? If anyone does have insurance,…

Using a bus pass in London
My husband and I are visiting our son in London next weekend. We both have senior citizens bus passes issued in Northumberland where we live, but I understand these can be used throughout England, including London, for free bus transport after the rush hour. Here's the silly question. What do you do when you get on a…

32 miles round trip, Hybrid or Road bike?
I've been getting back into my cycling recently (after health problems), with the intent of riding to work 2 or 3 times a week. I currently have a Kona Kikapu Deluxe, a brilliant XC bike, but incredibly hard work on the roads, way too big for filtering between cars and a thief magnet. Really screams "STEAL ME!!!" I'm in…

Thank you MSE (and the Daily Mail) for cheap Family & Friends Railcard, one query:
I also have a Network Gold Card which I've adopted to my Oyster to get even bigger off-peak savings on the Tube/Bus. My wife does not use a Network Gold Card but I wondered if she could adopt the Family & Friends Railcard on to her Oyster to benefit from similarly bigger off-peak savings? Any advice pls?

Shopping by Bike - volunteers required
Hi all, I work for CTC, The National Cycling Charity, on an EU funded project called CycleLogistics; I am currently looking for about 500 volunteers to take part in a Shop by Bike trial. In short, you'd be required to shop by bike at least once a week for about 4 weeks. In return, I will offer a £10 Wiggle voucher, and…

Unreserved Train Seats - Advise needed please!
Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone could advise me about unreserved train seats on a return trip from Nottingham to Skegness in October (14th and 21st are travel dates)?
