TVs in other rooms have no channels anymore
Hi Hope someone could help. We have a skybox in our living room. This has always been connected via aerial to skybox then a cable to TV. The RF output has another cable which goes out the wall and connects to all the other TVs in the house which we have always got terrestrial TV on, not interested in sky channels. Our…

Landline only supplier
Looking for landline only supplier Currently paying BT £26 for line rental and all day inclusive landline calls. Sadly the MSE 'broadband checker' says no results found despite BT and Post Office being available. Any other suggestions , but don't want to loose the number we have. :)

BT TV offer £20
My 18 month deal is up at the end of April 2020 and today i receive an offer from BT: I currently have my TV, broadband & phone line with them. I'm happy enough to stay with them, even for 24 months, but i'd want a broadband deal to stay as well. I don't want to accept a TV offer only for broadband to go up in 4 months…

Can they keep my landline number?
Two years ago I moved house. I'm still within the Glasgow 0141 area, but in a differnt local exchange area. I was with TalkTalk and they moved my number to the new house. I'm now thinking of changing to a different company but I'm having difficulty keeping my number and I'm being given conflicting reasons.. My main…

Landline Fraud Protection Charge
Please forgive me if this post isn't concerning a usual topic but I literally don't know where else to go for advice. I have a landline/calls package with a small provider called Adept. Recently they sent me an e-mail saying that from the 1st January they are introducing a charge of 94p per month that will allow them to…

One tel-talk talk phone package
I have been with One tel-Talk Talk for quite a few years on their "EveryCall Choice 3 plus" package which suited us very well. Free local, national & mobile phone calls. In Sept we received a letter from TalkTalk saying we would be moving to Talk Talk on 3rd Nov. also saying our new "Talk UK Anytime" Package would match…

Talktalk call package price increase
I just effectively got this next increase cancelled by pointing out that I am on a fixed price contract for 18 months. Talktalk will say that the fixed price is only for the Broadband, but as they don't itemize their bills, that won't hold up in court. It may only be £2 a month but the the same package was only £5 a short…

DMTech TV and Sony VTX-D800U Freeview Decoder
I'm trying to set up a DMTech TV to work with a Sony VTX-D800U Freeview decoder. The Sony VTX-D800U remote can be programmed to operate most televisions, but unfortunately DMTech is not listed in the Sony manual as a supported manufacturer. Has anyone found a 3-digit code for the Sony remote that will operate DMTech…

Smart TV and Sky problems
I just unpacked a newly delivered hisense h50b7300uk, connected all - great. Turned Sky on, menu came up but can not select any channels to actually view as a msg comes up on the telly asking to insert a viewing card. Any pointers how to fix this? Viewing card is in the sky box as I literally unplugged it from one TV into…

Free Phone Calls using Amazon Echo Devices
Apparently, since June, it's been possible to make free hands-free calls from an Amazon Echo or Echo Dot to UK Landlines and Mobiles at no additional cost (to your existing Broadband charges). The calls are placed via your Wifi and Broadband connection and do not require a landline. You do need a UK mobile phone to…

Question about Virgin.
I can't seem to find out so am asking on here. Do we have to have a cable from the modem to the Virgin TV box? We currently have Sky HD+ box and it connects to the modem using Wi-Fi. Can the Virgin box do the same? Asking as the only phone socket is in the downstairs hall and our sitting room is upstairs on the other side…

Commercial tv with sport
I am involved at my local cricket club and we are thinking of moving away from Sky for our tv, as what we get for what we are paying is unacceptable. I have been looking around at other providers but can’t seem to find any that fit our requirements. Can anyone suggest any provider that offers both sports channels as well…

C5 catch up on old Samsung TV
We have a perfectly functional Samsung Smart TV UE40H5500 but it has the 'old' C5 catch up (Demand5) and not the new My5 I've tried to update the software, but it says no update available. Is there a way round it? I *think* we have a Now TV box knocking round somewhere, would My5 be on that? :)

Sue or Ombudsman?
For over a year Virgin Media have been charging me for a second Tivo box which they removed in July last year. I have written to them four times but have not received a reply. I now have two choices, complain to the Ombudsman (CISAS) or take them to the Small Claims Court. I am in favour of taking them to court, but fear…

Vodafone are having my life! Please advise.
Hi all, Last year I took out an iPhone contract with Vodafone for £36 a month. I then noticed a few months later they were taking out double each month (£72 a month) and I contacted them. They apologised and said the account had been set up incorrectly including the deal I got with Mobile Phones Direct and they would…
