Pension forecast
I tried getting a pension forecast online. Filled everything in, put passport details then it asked for another form of ID as well, which I don't have. I didn't want to ring so I printed out the form and sent it off on September 12th. Still waiting. Does it normally take so long ?. Thanks

Use SIPP Tax Free Cash Or ISAs First
I am 64, still employed and have 5 years of living expenses in ISAs. I also have a SIPP from which I have yet to drawdown any money. The ISAs are maturing in January/February and, at that time, I envisage needing the same amount of cash for various purposes. It seems to me that pre-2027 (pensions coming into the estate)…

Problems with the app Itsme
I wrote a while back as I had problems installing Itsme to access my files on mypension.be. I have managed to install it but am encountering issues logging in. Two choices. 1. Logging into mypension by scanning a bar code. Itsme should open at the same time but it doesn't. 2. Using my phone number. Then it asks me to prove…

Non Regulated Advice
I am happy with my investments and want to maintain control of my own financials. I completely understand, and respect the fact, that this does not make me an ideal customer for an IFA. I enjoy doing my own research and, at 64, have a pretty clear view as to what I should be doing in terms of retirement/estate planning.…

SIPP holder dies at over 75 - just checking my understanding
Evening all, I’ve had it confirmed (by my SIPP provider) that if I ‘pop my clogs’ after age 75, then my SIPP beneficiaries (some of whom are resident overseas and non resident for UK tax purposes) would not have the option of receiving their share of my pot as a (drawdown) beneficiary SIPP; instead they would have to take…

Gilt ladder in SIPP - some not availiable gilts in platform
I am researching setting up a conventional gilt laddder inside my SIPP (as an alternative to taking a joint lifetime annuity). Life Assurance Policy
My FIL said he had this old life assurance policy with the North British & Mercantile Insurance company, which google says was taken over by Commercial Union, which has now become Aviva. Reading the policy certificate, it seems to indicate that it is a life assurance policy that only pays out on the death of the policy…

Frozen USS pension query
I have a frozen USS pension, built up over 8 years and I left in 2013. Since then my modelled projected payments (both annual and lump sum) have not increased at all - they are literally frozen in time. In reality when I come to claim the pension, will inflation over these years be applied? Otherwise it defeats the point…
