Council tax banding.
I saw the clip of Martin Lewis explaining about challenging your council tax band. I looked into it and unsure if it’s worth going for it. I live in a cul-de-sac with a majority of the properties being large detached houses with garages or bungalows with garages all of which are in bad D or E. well myself and my neighbour…

Council Tax Challenge
Hi, I moved into my house last September and have just checked my neighbours council tax band. Most in my area are Band E but I am Band F. I have used the 'Estimate your home's value' calculator which advises I should be in Band G. Should I go ahead and challenge my band as I feel the houses in Band E are larger than mine?

Council Tax - New Build
We bought our new build property in 2018 and the site was developed on an old hospital site with farmland surrounding us with no other residential properties nearby. I'm currently getting information to contest our council tax band (currently in C) as it seems to be too high for the value of the property. Due to no houses…

This might be a complicated one as stay with me. About 10 years ago I rented out my flat which was a lease hold. Money Moral Dilemma: Should I give my old neighbour some money for the council tax refund he got us?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... My former neighbour had always rented out his property. He put it up for sale, was left paying council tax on it for the first time and was adamant it was in the wrong band, so he submitted a big report and the band was reduced - for him, me and some other houses. We all got…
