Do you have a secret trick?
Do you have a way of doing something that makes it easier or more efficient? Something that you do but you’re not sure if everybody knows about it? If so, share it on this thread 🙂 Here’s mine. When you’re putting up a washing line, make sure it’s good and long. Then you can do a double string, and use it to split your…

Daily Mail subscription
I have the Mail delivered 6 days a week but not Sunday Every day this month they are urging me to take out a subscription at (allegedly) 63% discount The deal is for 7 days papers for 6 months then the cost goes up My calculation suggests I can get 7 days of papers for about half what I am currently paying and I can ditch…

Instant Pot Duo Crisp v Ninja Foodi Max 15 in 1 - Dithering too long to make decison!
I've been researching for both applicances and still can't decide which is better. What holding me back is the airfryer function and I'm not sure if both do its justice or if getting a separate airfryer is better? I've read the Instant Pot 8l airfryer compartment is a bit small and I've not seen the Ninja in person to make…

How long do your knives last you?
We splashed out on good knives 20 years ago, have had them professional sharpened a few times and sharpen them (badly I expect) at home too. I bought a new knife at the weekend (cheap £3 thing) and am amazed at how well it cuts, ie how bad our current knives are. How often to you change knives, and if it's a long time how…

Boiling Water Heating Tube 220V 600W, Coffee Warmer Small Stick Fast Heat Hot Immersion Electric Heater for Heating Tea, Water, Cocoa Camping Outdoor : Amazon.co.uk: Home & Kitchen saw this and wondered how safe is this to use, although it is not for the UK as it's a 2-pin plug. Is there anything on the UK market that I…

Lakeland 6l slow cooker - replacement pot?
I've been very happy with my Lakeland 6l slow cooker, bought to replace an old one about 5 years ago, IIRC. But sadly the pot has developed a little crack, which has now started to leak onto the base. I've just been onto their website to order a replacement - the availability of which was one factor in choosing it in the…

Kenwood A701A attachment converter
I'd like to know to know if some people tried to build a converter for modern attachments to the A701A? If not, I have access to CNC and 3D printer (with metal), what are the differences of the attachments between this model and the modern attachment?

Central heating off feet always cold
I seem to manage to keep the rest of me okay, sat in my room it's 13c. Pretty warm by my standards. However, my feet are always ending up cold and wet. Doesn't matter how many socks I seem to wear one over the top. I'm not diabetic or do I have any sort of circulation problems. Any tips?
