It's here on Old Style to provide the support we all need and to make the whole…

Frozen chopped peaches
Over the summer I was gifted a box of ripe peaches. Ate a few but no way could I eat them all and being short of time I peeled them, stoned them, chopped them and froze them. I now have two very large bags of frozen peaches and would love some inspiration for using them up. Any suggestions please?

What’s happening with Olio?
I understand it’s making a loss and needs to do something to fund itself, and I’ve just found out that I have to watch 15 to 30 seconds worth of adverts before I can request an item, unless I pay a fiver a month to become a subscriber. Which probably means by the time I request something it will have gone and I tend not to…

Building up my freezer
I'm retired, live on my own, and with the exception of family and friends popping in I have no one to cook for bar myself, and then it's just a cup of tea and a bar or traybake. Recently I cleared out my tall freezer and is now almost empty, so how to fill it for a single man, that's the question. Batch cooking, but what?…

Now the nights are drawing in. Me and my partner are looking for cheap/free activities for the evenings. We don't want to spend the winter just watching TV or in different rooms on our computers. But something that we can do together as a couple.

War on Waste! Left Over Mayonnaise
I made some very tasty mayo type dressing last week. Used cold pressed rapeseed oil and olive oil. there is probably about 125ml/half an eggs worth. If I freeze it will separate no doubt. So what could I put it in if it does that? 'Disappear' it into something! Could I re emulsify with a new egg? I wouldn't have long to…
