RWG issues?
Anyone else struggling with RWG at the moment? I'm on an EE powered SIM, showing as only connected to EDGE and calls/texts don't go out/come in at the moment. My wife is on Phone Co-op, a separate MVNO using EE, and that's working fine. I know there are a few other folk on RWG on here so wondered if it was just me. My…

How to prevent a scam sufferd by O2 mobile customers
Below are extracts from Guardian Money’s consumer champion Miles Brignall Last month, I featured the case of an O2 mobile customer who had been sent a £150 bill for a call the company claimed was the result of a 50-minute call he had made to Armenia at 5am...several more readers and O2 customers have since contacted us to…

VMO2 Confirm migration from 2G in 2025
Yesterday Virgin Media O2 confirmed that it will switch of 3G in 2025 and will begin migrating customers away from 2G. It will leave a reduced 2G service in place for some years for emergency use and smart meters/devices. About 1% of O2 customers use 2G. Some of these will just need a new SIM but others will need a new…

o2 Customer Service.
Just a quick one. Don't know who is supposed to be running o2 mobile but it reminds me of the current tale of woe that has beset Post Office and Paula Vennells and her cohorts. Suffice to say that I've had enough of their dreadful response when you contact them. Whether or not you're happy to deal with Indian based…

True PAYG, no "monthly plan"?
Hi everyone, I'm trying to find a good old fashioned PAYG deal. I need a sim card, to add £10 to it, then put it in a spare mobile phone for my Mum to use as an emergency phone in case something happens to hers. It may never get used, which is why I don't want a monthly SIM Only plan, which every provider seems to be…

Low user O2 sim-only - should I switch to Spusu?
I've been with O2 for some years and I spend very little: my increased latest monthly fee is £4.06. However, O2 emailed to mention I could leave within the next 30 days for no penalty. On the MSE site, there is a cheaper sim-only offer from Spusu whom I'd not heard of which uses the EE network. Their offer is £2.90/month…

Lebara roaming in India: data mostly broken, use local SIM instead
Prior to a long stay in India I ordered a SIM with Lebara because they offer roaming access in India. Sounded good and I can't fault delivery and using it here in the UK. FF to India and it turns out that the Lebara SIM did (mostly) work for voice and texting but not at all reliably for data. Data worked OK in Delhi,…

Beware of SMARTY. Be smarter.
There are a lot of good MNVOs with good customer service, rolling contracts and good account management systems (online or on an app). Using the MSE comparison tool has been great getting deals for Lebara (Vodafone). I would caution people using Smarty though. On initial inspection, Smarty has "good" reviews online, but…

Talk Home SIM deal
Just a few comments on the Talk Home SIM deal I signed my wife up to last month. Brilliant deal a 1p per month for the first 3 months. Last week my wife was wondering why she could no longer text or make calls other than using WhatsApp. Being non technical she thought the issue was with EE as there was an error message…

Switching to RWG mobile?
Due to uncertainties with 1p mobile, I was thinking of moving to RWG. I looked for previous posts, and saw complaints about not receiving the sim, and poor customer service. I had a look on TrustPilot, and the reviews were mixed, many happy but also many very unhappy. I'm a very low usage customer, but would rely on…
