Join me on a ride on the wild side.......
Hey folks. I hope you're all well. First post on here in many a year and, well, I have a story to tell that is at the same time, still being written, so to speak. Join me by the camp fire, as I tell ye about the magical mystery tour I started on some weeks ago, and which I'm still on, as I challenge the heathen masses, the…

CHEAP LANDLINE CALLS
Posting here as there doesn't seem to be a category within this forum for landline phones. I simply want to recommend Call 1899 for cheap landline calls. My calls typically cost c. 5p each. You have to register with their website as a customer, then you simply dial 1899 before each number you want to ring.

Cancelling Vodaphone Contract - Nightmare!
On 02/12/2025, I tried to cancel my 12 month Vodaphone contract, which was up that month (I never used it as I discovered couldn't get a Vodaphone signal at my house). I had a long conversation with a bot, which eventually agreed that my contract would terminate the following month as it was too late to cancel in December.…

budget phone
I don't know much about phones. I've had a Moto e6s for several years, but the battery now runs down quickly, so I need a replacement. I don't use it much, so I'm on PAYG. Mostly I receive calls, texts and emails, but sometimes I also make calls and texts. Occasionally I use web access when away from home. I almost never…

Vodafone buys out Three, taking 100% of Vodafone Three
According to the Financial Times, Vodafone is buying out Three's 49% of Vodafone Three for £4bn. A clause in the contract gave them the right to do this after 3 years, so I don't know why they have gone early. Apparently, nothing will change. But there are already rumours of 3 staff leaving head office.

Vodafone and Three
Will Vodafones merger with Three positively affect my phone signal with Talkmobile - or the share only relevant to Vodafone and Three themselves and not virtual operators ? or will they just use this as an excuse to dispense with unwanted repetition of towers ? At present - at home Vodafone is the best of a worst bunch -…
