Our electricity supplier (Eon) did not give us the afp. After contacting they advised we apply through the government website. We use oil as we live on a farm lane with no gas. On filling out the application today they require receipts from September to show you use an alternative fuel - If you can't supply them then no…

Oil Combi Boilers
Hi, We currently have a Grant condensing oil boiler. There are a few inconveniences about the boiler. Firstly, it is in the cellar and would prefer it outside. Secondly, we have large cold water storage tanks and a hot water cylinder in a cupboard in the main bathroom taking up a lot of space. I was wondering about…

Alternative Fuel Payment
I have just received our AFP into our British Gas Account (£200.00) however the amount our bank account has been credited with is only £ 157.00 ... why ? As the title suggests, this is payment towards our oil bill and has nothing to do with our electricity consumption (our account is in credit) so where is the missing…

Gas or Oil
My property is heated by a 20 year old oil boiler. It runs ok but engineers say its about 30% inefficient. The property is a 1970s bungalow with a well insulated loft, cavity wall insulation, and double glazing. Alternative Fuel Payment - with Eon Next you can request they transfer it to your bank account :)
I'm with Eon Next for electricity and we pay by direct debit. The £200 payment was credited to our Eon account. I just got the usual email telling me my DD payment for next month, and it wasn't reduced at all (I was expecting zero for a few months or something while that £200 got used up). Logged in and they seemed to be…
