Experian Credit Report and Charges!
Thought it worthwhile putting a blog on here about Experian. Yep, you can sign up and get a months credit report free, but the catch is you have to give your credit card details! I guess silly me for forgetting to RING THEM to cancel the rolling month debit from my account. Technology? you would have thought I could have…

IVA's / Bankrupcy and Employement
If I understand it accurately, IVA's are also recorded on public registers like bank r. therefore, unless employees search these formatts then would how would they find out if one of their staff has had finance issues? (I dont know if i've made myself clear on the above question)

An IVA is logged online on the IS site just like a BR, my mate had an IVA for 2 years (paid £12,000 into it) had to go BR then finds his IVA and his BR are both online and in the public domain.... nice

IVA question again ..
Were just starting the IVA process via cccs, I guess my main issue is after 5 years of struggling and sticking to the agreement, they then will probably ask us to re-mortgage the house so they can 'squeeze' more out of us. Is there anything/advice anyone can give us to prevent this from happening? There is approx £10,000…

Help/advice please
I’ve been stalking this site all day! Well I’m finally facing the debt I have accumulated over the past 10 years! I haven’t actually missed any payments but because of the interest payments etc it’s got to the point where all my wages go to pay off my minimum payments each month. I owe £32k spread over 2 loans, 4 credit…

A quickie, ohh err missus ;)
Hi everyone, I just received "stage 3" from Payplan, and i'm thinking "stuff that for a game of soldiers" whereby the amount I would pay back would be £800 less than the TOTAL outstanding debt, with payplan taking over 7K in fees. So im not going to sign the form they want me to, to put the offer to my creditors. However I…

Opening current account before an IVA
Hi all, It looks like I will have no alternative but to go for an IVA, having recently taken an £11,000 pay cut. Anyway, from reading Martin's advice I think I need to open a new current account before registering - some of the unsecured debt is with our current bank, where I hold a joint account with "Mrs DeToy". Although…

IVA Help!
Hi, I run a small coffee shop and have recently entered into an IVA. Since the IVA has been accepted I have realised that I have left a couple of my creditors off the list I gave the IVA company. These people were not invited to the meeting of creditors and did not vote on the arangement. Are they still bound by the IVA or…

IVA and negative equity
This is now academic for me as I am out of my flat, failed the iva and preparing for bankruptcy..and haven't felt this relaxed in years..but out of interest, as a mate is in this position, what happens now in the the fourth/fith year of an iva when you are required to release any equity in your home to go to the debt? I…

IVA's - equity release in 4th year
Hi, This is a question I added to someone else's thread on DFW, but it was suggested I post here for advice: If you've agreed to an IVA of say 50% of debt plus fees of £X, in year 4 of the IVA, if you had the equity, could they force you to remortgage for the remaining 50%, so in actual fact you would have paid 100% debt…

IVA worry
Hi, I was wondering if anyone on here could help me with a possible problem. Basically back in January 2007 I entered an IVA agreement with DebtClear on a 60 month agreement. Over a given ten years I had ran up £37k of credit card debts, 99% of this wasn't for anything other than simple living costs. I don't drink, smoke,go…

Trust Deed Stories
Trust Deed's in Scotland are very similar to IVA's, except they last for 36 months instead of 60. At the moment I am more than half way through- and my quality of life is a hell of a lot better than when I started. I would certainly recommend this as an alternative to the 'B' word. It's no the easy ride some would have you…
