Help: ISA limit confusion
I'm not sure if i'm in a bit of a mess with my ISA limit for this year. I contributed £17,500 into Chips Flexible Cash ISA at the beginning of the tax year. I then withdrew all of this, £15,607.77 of this was after 15th July 2025 (the rule change) leaving me £0.00 in my Cash ISA. I then put £20,000 into Trading 212 stocks…

Best Cash Isa rates
Hi. Looking to ensure the best place for the cash as the new tax year is looming large, and I see the best rates - Trader 212 and Leeds BS are similar to Chip's rates, but Chip is nowhere to be seen in the table. Is there a problem with Chip that would exclude them from the table?

Transfer of S&S ISA with Scottish Widows to Charter Savings Bank
Not having a good experience with the transfer. Currently have £76k for a house deposit with Scottish Widows in a S&S ISA all in cash (all investments sold). Applied and posted an application to Charter by first class post on 19th January 2026 (cost me £3.05). Not heard anything from either providers since. Am I right in…

Withdrew money for house deposit from my Trading 212 Cash ISA, how can I replace it?
I have had a Trading 212 Cash ISA for some time. Last year, I moved my S&S with Vanguard from a GIA to an S&S ISA with them. I have now withdrawn much of my cash from the T212 ISA to pay down a flat deposit. As a result, I am being shown replaceable funds - amount of X, and my annual allowance with them as still 20K. Of…

Easy Access Cash ISAs That You Can Continually Pay Into
Good afternoon, I've a couple of cash ISAs maturing during the 26/27 tax year. On 6th April 2026, I'm looking to drip feed the 20K max limit thought the year into an easy access cash ISA PLUS perhaps transfer the other two maturing cash ISAs once they mature. Is this actually possible? Any advice appreciated. Cheers

Holding XSTR In S&S ISA.... Thoughts?
I've recently transferred a S&S ISA from T212 to Freetrade. In addition to my Global ETF, I tend to hold a reasonable amount of cash in the same account. This wasn't a big deal in T212 as it attracted daily interest from money market funds. Freetrade offer limited interest on cash, so I've considered buying XSTR ETF or…

Transfer into Tandem Instant Access Cash ISA
Saw that Tandem had an Instant Access Cash ISA currently paying 4% and decided to move my current Chip Instant Access Cash ISA which was paying 3.55%. This was over £40K being moved across. Did this within the Tandem app yesterday and couldn't believe it that the funds fully moved across this afternoon. Initially I thought…

Withdrawal of a lump sum from an ISA into a new portfolio
I currently have two Cash ISAs one opened in the 2024 tax year and the second 17/04/2025. I’ve used up both full tax free allowances. Can I transfer/withdraw £10k from the latter in this tax year and invest in a portfolio to give me better returns or do I need to wait until April 6th ?

New To Stocks & Shares ISAs
I am 55 and my wife is 50. Both are 40% tax payers working full time, with no debt and a paid off rental property bringing in a monthly income. My pension pot sits at £1million and we are currently working at filling my wife's pension pot which currently doesn't have much in. We have £100k in cash isas (Yes, probably too…

Emerging LISA future rules
I have recently read an article (The Mirror: "“Lifetime ISA win for first-time buyers – but bad news for retirement savers”), which said that: "… You currently face a withdrawal penalty if you use your Lifetime ISA savings for any reason other than buying your first home or retirement. This not only wipes out the bonus,…

New Help to Buy ISA
I was listening to the Martin Lewis podcast and I might have misheard, but he seemed to say at one point that the new help to buy ISA which will replace the LISA, will only be avaialble as a cash savings product, and not as an investment wrapper/S&S ISA. Is that right or did I misunderstand that comment?

Meteor - IsBank - 1yr Fixed ISA
Hi everyone, I've just started an ISA transfer from Moneybox to Meteor to be able to open their 1 year fixed rate at 4.35%. You can't open the account until the transfer is complete so it is a gamble but my current rate with Moneybox is 4.13% and I'm sure I'll be able to get this elsewhere is Meteor remove the rate, has…

Ford Money - Interest Reduction
Just received notification that Ford Money are reducing the rate on their Flexible Cash ISA from 4.04% to 3.79% on the 12th February. Have been really happy with how easy and quick it's been to withdraw and replace funds. Same day payment if requested before 1.00 pm. Might to look for a better interest rate.

Taking profits from a stocks and shares ISA
over the years I’ve built up a good portfolio of stocks and shares and cash in ISA’s, always maximising my allowance. I’ve also built up profits and interest payments in the accounts. Now I’d like to take out some of my profits. I have flexible accounts. Now it seems, when I take money out it is taken from the allowance…

What to do with my savings
Hello everyone. Probably a very naive post here, but would appreciate any help. Returned to the UK from the Middle East on £50k salary in education (annual increment so ~£56k by 2030). Probably end up renting somewhere for ~£1.2k/month until we buy. I have £100k+ in a normal savings account with NatWest and still have a…

My partner has a number of shares in my trading account worth 12k, having doubled in value. Could I sell an equivalent number of shares in my ISA account and give her the full amount and her be free of any tax burden?
