ISA Limits and boundary dates
Does the £3K cash ISA limit apply for a year after your first ISA is opened or is it per fiscal year? I've had an ISA for about half a year, if I fill it up to the limit by April 5th, could I put in another 3K on April 6th? MattLG

Couldn't open Alliance & Leicester cash isa today
I tried to open an A & L cash ISA on the internet and got the message that as it was getting near the year end I could only open one at a Branch. Went to Worthing Branch and was told that to open the ISA I would have to book an interview with an adviser and as they were so busy it was doubtful that they could fit me in…

Peps
In 1994 my wife and I set up a PEP and invested £6000 each following my early retirement. This was with, what is known now as, Invesco Perpetual. At close today the total value of the 2 investments is £50,398.21. Since August 2004 the PEPS have increased in value by £4000. My question is should we continue to leave well…

Please could someone check this ISA out and tell me if there is a catch? It appears to be offering 100% capital return, PLUS additional returns regardless of whether the stockmarket rises or falls. I have sent for their brochure, but time is limited, as the offer expires 8th April.…

A&L ISA Con?
I was listening to money box at noon today on radio 4 and can't quite believe what I thought I heard; so I thought I'd check it out with you guys. They said the A&L ISA paid a tasty rate of 5.40% but that the catch was that if the rate became uncompetitive and you wished to switch, they charged a flat rate of £25!!!…

How to evaluate current isa's
I've had a good look through the boards and articles, however haven't been able to 'spot' any thread that helps. I've just started to get into this whole ISA thing and have ISA for myself and have started to look after my mum's affairs, so need to look into hers too. I'm not really sure how to go about appraising if our…

Holding than 1 mini ISA account?
Dear folks, I'm a little bit confused and similar topics have been discussed. But is one allowed to hold as many mini ISA accounts as long as each new account is opened on a separate tax year? Thanks! So for example for any given year. One could have multiple mini ISA accounts opened form different years: ABC Bank: £3000…

Which cash mini isa?
I am looking to deposit £3000 asap, so that I can pay in before the new tax year. Which cash mini isa account would you recommend? I heard the A+L isnt great, due to the £25 fee. The abbey was looking good, until I noticed it was a postal account. Basically I am after the best rate (not just a 4 months bonus offer e.t.c)…

Going over £3k... What happens?
Sadly I'm not in any danger of this problem, this year, but out of curiosity: if someone has paid in a total of, say, £2700 over the year into their ISA, but has not bothered to total it all up, what would happen if they then tried to pay in £500? Would the payment be rejected in full, in part, or something else?

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy any share options a company offer you as part of a Maxi ISA? ie if I had options on about 300 shares that I can buy for £1, would I be able to buy them in an ISA to protect myself from CGT rather than just buying them normally?
