A pain in the PLUMs
On MSE recommendation I started a PLUM Cash ISA. No real issues, other than the usual digital format over-optioned click fest app (no I don't want this app to be the conduit of my life with various add ons and options - just want to save money get interest end off). The issue is now - trying to transfer the ISA out. As it…

ii shares isa and trading account confusion - help please
I recently opened a shares ISA on-line with Interactive Investor. I don't recall the exact procedure I followed, but anyway I transferred in my full £20K allowance. I now find I have an account called "ISA" and another called "Trading Account". The ISA account is showing a balance of zero, and remaining ISA allowance of…

Trading 212 - what do we think?
Hi all, New to the forum so please be gentle with me. I want to invest in a cash ISA (haven't used my allowance up for 24-25 yet) and I am seriously considering Trading 212. I've used Shawbrook Bank and Charter Savings Bank in the past and had good experiences with them so I'm not new to online accounts. I know Trading 212…

Plum ISA - confused about interest
I opened a PLUM ISA on April 07th at a preferential rate of 5.92% for three months on the advice of MSE, with a note in the diary to ditch and switch after the increased rate expired. However, I've just logged in to see how things are looking there, and have discovered that: * The interest accrued is only about £80 for two…

Moneybox ISA rates
I opened a Moneybox Open Access Cash ISA a couple of months ago with an intro offer of 4% base rate with 0.82% bonus for a year. since then the base rate dropped to 3.75%, which is what still shows on my account. However looking at the current offer Moneybox seems to have a base rate of 3.95% with a 0.7% bonus, giving a…

Accidentally transferred money into junior ISA
I’ve accidentally transferred an my universal credit payment into my son’s junior isa, which only had £64 in (he’s 10). The bank (nationwide) have said they can’t give it back as it now belongs to the child but it was a genuine mistake. I was trying to move it to my savings account but I clicked the isa instead. Is there…

ISA transfer experiences
My most recent experiences. First the bad and the ugly: * Monument to Santander. The request had to be made on paper, which I handed in to a friendly Santander employee in Branch. 6 weeks later, there had been nil progress as the form apparently "didn't reach the right department" (in Santander). This means I missed out on…

5K - Where do I put it?
I've got 5k left to put into an ISA for this year (Currently have 15 in Marcus) Debating whether or not to look at a fixed rate (4.32 Hodge Bank) or would it be better to still go with the variable (Trading 212/Plum at 4.98) I know it's a gamble and it's the classic crystal ball scenario. What would others do/suggest here?

Has Trading212 withdrawn its "newbies bonus of 0.88%"?

ISA transfer funds issue
I have a matured fixed ISA with Shawbrook Bank, which has now been moved by them to an easy access ISA. I completed the ISA transfer online form with Virgin. Three times now it has been rejected by Shawbrook Bank with the reason that the funds are current year and not previous year monies? On the Virgin online form there…

Clarity over Cash ISA
I deposited 20k in a cash ISA last year and made approx. 1k interest. I noticed that when I login to my account it states I have another 20k "remaining" to invest. I assume this is because of the new tax year. If I deposited it another 20k this tax year will the interest on the 41k be tax free?

Moneybox Cash ISA - client money account - ??
Any advice? Opened a Cash ISA with Moneybox - I'm a new Moneybox customer. Astonishingly, took 3 days to transfer in! (I didn't know it was even possible to transfer that quickly!) Then I asked (as per the MSE pop up box) about the 'client money account' to ensure I understood where my funds were so I could manage the FSCS…

ISAs - Leave in Cash? Or move to S&S?
My partner and I each have around £80k in cash ISAs. We also have around £200k each in savings accounts. We don’t pay tax on our interest as neither of us are working. So we are looking for a way to take a small income (£2k a month maybe) from our savings, but also put some money into investments for the longer term. We…
