Self marketing - have you tried it?
I'm still pondering the possibility of self marketing and cutting out the agents altogether. Mainly this is because a house two doors up which is basically the same as ours except they've converted two double bedrooms into three small bedrooms and added a conservatory is still on the market for a year at £205K, we would be…

gazumping how much more?
We have had two interested parties in our property. We accepted an offer yesterday for about 93% of the asking price. However the other party has today made an offer of £2k above the agreed price. I of course will not accept this offer, an agreement is an agreement, however it got me thinking. How much more would you want…

Should I require that competing offers to mine are rejected?
Hello there An update to my situation. House on the market for £210k, offered £190k, the estate agent implying that there was another offer on for just under £200k. Should we sell or continue to let ??
Can anyone offer a 2nd/3rd opinion for us please ? We bought a 2nd property 5 years ago when my hubbie and I split up for a time and amicably were able to purchase a flat for one of us to live in. We are currently selling our house which we bought 3 years ago. It's a Victorian terrace with a loft conversion and single storey extension at the rear. We got a Homebuyer's Survey done when we bought it and both bits of work are mentioned in the Homebuyer's bit and under the Mortgage Valuation bit. In fact it specifically…
