Ladies - Period/Pelvic Pains? Heavy blood loss? Look...
:T Hi all, I thought I would share this with you. I bought a LadyCare from Avon which promises to help relieve period pain through wearing this big magnet over your pelvic area. Well, despite being somewhat sceptical it is a bloody miracle. Is it all in the head? Who cares?? I have had lots of 'womens' problems for years…

Now within 24 hours I am having an operation. :( There is something wrong with my retina and they tried to send me to London yesterday to have the op. But I refused to go 200 miles. So, now I have to have complete bed rest till…

Finger Nail EXPERTS - Advice Required
Hello, Thanks for looking at my post. After years of nail biting I have decided to STOP, boy is it hard ...o0(About 20 times harder than not having a cigarette) I have been told by a non expert that due to the nail biting I have most probably ruined my "nail beds" and I will now always have short nails. My question is, Can…

Hospital appointment entitlement to leave
I was referred for physiotherapy 6 months ago and have only just got my appointment through. The problem is that it is during my working hours and as a teacher I cannot just take a day holiday. I have asked the hospital to see if they have an alternative but they do not. My headteacher is saying that he is going to have to…

The 'C' word
Well, it's not what you were expecting... but if I were to say 'Circumcision', what would you say? Did you realise that it's not long available on the NHS, but must be done privately... I wonder whether there are any midwives out there that could point me in the right direction for this service. Anyone? (Please, I do not…

Dentist's Plot to Poison the World Foiled!
From the BBC site today. For 150 years we've been trying to wipe out humanity by filling their teeth with poison. Now it's revealed we've been wasting our time as it doesn't cause any harm at all! :p (Just hope no-one looks at what's in white filling! ;) )

Wisdom teeth
Can wisdom teeth come through at any time? My back teeth were x-rayed several years ago and the dentist warned that my wisdom teeth were lying sideways in the gum and they could cause problems if they decided to come through. Now I can feel a slight pointed hard lump in the gum at the back both in the top and bottom on the…

My dad had a stroke a bit back. He walks really slowly and gets tired very easily and his balance has been affected. He has had physio but his condition will not improve any more now.
