Choice to Make
Hi, my fixed tariff with EDF ends on the 31st March. My annual gas usage is 11837kwh & electric 2179kwh. EDF are offering 2 tariffs, a one year tracker extra at £129.37 per month or a two year fix at £135.60 per month. I'm not sure which one to choose as the tracker cost will change with the price cap whereas the fix will…

Smart meter doesn't send info to supplier
I was forced to have a smart meter for electricity by Ovo last year, after a short time the meter stopped sending info. It was installed in a cupboard / alcove and I guess that the signal wasn't strong enough. After several visits to sort it out Ovo gave up and told me to send manual readings. In August I switched to…

Best choice for electric car tariff?
Really confused atm with all the rises. Have currently Intelligent Octopus Go for the car , and Octopus 12M Fixed for the gas . With the rises on the electric side would it be any better for me to go to a fixed and get rid of the bespoke car tariff ?

Cheap Energy Club is recommending Ecotricity. Are they any good?
Hi all, Cheap Energy Club is suggesting I could save a fair bit if I go with Ecotricity. I dont have a smart meter, but would be tempted to get one if it means I can take advantage of the lower tariffs. Are Ecotricity a fairly legit company? Ive only just very recently moved to Tomato Energy, who Ive received no…

Help please
I am affected by RTS switch off. I am with British Gas. They sent out 2 engineers to install Smart Meter. Both said I can't have one as I have two meters and two fuse boxes. They said I need a 2ratemeter. BG said they don't supply this and I will need to get my house rewired to accommodate smart meter. Obviously I can't…

British Gas can't Math
Hi all, A warning to check your bills are arithmetically correct. 3 British Gas Customer Service agents later and it's clear they don't issue calculators at that company. Basically, add up the figures on the right and make sure the total is correct for Gas and Electric, because the 'system' doesn't understand what a credit…

Communal electricity being charged to my meter

EDF Gas - not being charged
EDF haven't charged me for gas since October. I emailed them months ago to say the smart meter seems to be faulty but they replied to say it is working. I've since emailed multiple times telling them they're only charging me the standing charge for gas but each time they say I'm being charged correctly. Asking for my case…

EON Fix or Leave if been granted insulation through EON .
I’m looking for a fixed energy tariff for my mother, who is currently on a standard EON contract. The cheapest fixed tariff available from another supplier would save her £100 compared to what she’s currently paying. However, the best fixed deal from EON is £34 more (about 3% higher) over the next 16 months. The concern is…
