Electiricty rate
Hello, I recently asked Powergen to change my meter from Economy Seven to a standard one. They didn't, but instead told me they were reducing the rates or something. I have had a letter saying that I will now be charged 9.67p per unit for the 1st 200 units per 1/4 and then 7.58 per unit for any additional units. Looking at…

Gas/Elec - Standing Charges
How do you know if you are better off paying for standing charges on gas&elec? How can one work this out. I assume you pay more per unit of gas&elec if you don't pay a standing charge. Or do you have to pay no matter what? I am on duel fuel with powergen on line and total annual bill is around £360 (I guess 240 of…

Gas and Electricty capped deals
I'm thinking of moving to Powergen's capped deal to April 2007, mainly to help my budgeting. I won't be moving until May 2007, so is it a good deal? We are a couple in a 1 Bed flat with gas central heating, cooking with gas and average wall insulation.

NPOWER dodgy sales
I am quite cross with NPower - they knocked on my door and completely lied about their prices - they said and i kind of quote " We own all the power stations in the country and so can be alot cheaper than the rest as we dont need to make profet on top like brittish gas and powergen" this sounded a bit rubbish but i let her…

Powergen Wrong Details
I have my gas and electric through powergen as this was an automatic transfer from Servista when they folded. I immediately registered for the energy online scheme and it said nothing about having to provide a fixed direct debit - you could have a variable one. Now nearly two years later I find they have not given me the…
