The company says they wouldn’t allow me to install a normal meter until the existing debt is paid off, even though I’ve just moved in…

cashback switch web site?
Hi, I tried the cashback sites mentioned in Martin's great article. But Energyhelpline's page (http://www.energyhelpline.com/cashbackmse) doesn't show any cashback information. It just show a line like "Agent: cashbackmse". So should I assume that they will give me my cash back because I used agent cashbackmse? thanks

Called by a con artist!
I got a call yesterday from someone who claimed to be from Powergen. I'll add the disclaimer now - he wasn't! He told me everyone except Powergen had increased their prices, and I should switch. As I was on my PC at the time, I Googled for "Powergen Price rise" and got straight to the BBC news website - Powergen anounce…

It is: Standing charge 20.09 p per day Units 2.08p per unit Both figures exclude VAT and Climate Change levy. As to usage, we pay about £50 per month at present. I have had no cause to…

I recently changed from British Gas and npower to Atlantic. However, I'm now seeing scare stories in the press about the possibility of gas price rises on the horizon, so I'm wondering whether I should have chosen a capped-rate supplier.
