Wheelchair bus case
Thus is the case of a bus company not forcing a buggy passenger to move for a wheelchair passenger - now going to the Supreme Court. I have sympathy for disabled people, however if bus drivers aren't going to be allowed to you touch anyone (for fear of assault claims) let alone move babies then won't the police have to be…

Is it ethical?
.... for an employer to send emails etc to their employee's 'encouraging' them to vote in a certain way on the EU referendum? Both sides seem to be doing this... Surely this is inappropriate?

Any BTL's Buying? EA's getting really pushy
Anyone thinking it's a good idea to delay exchange after the referendum? Estate agent is pushing for exchange now, and until now has been uninvolved, I'm fairly certain this new urgency is to do with some buyers pulling out, prices dropping and generally EA's being quite due to the uncertainty. EA's which up to a few weeks…

Lord Salisbury on suffrage
To give 'the suffrage' to a poor man is to give him as large a part in determining that legislation which is mainly concerned with property as the banker whose name is known on every Exchange in Europe, as the merchant whose ships are in every sea, as the landowner who owns the soil of a whole manufacturing town...two…

West Bromwich BTL landlords win
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/personal-banking/mortgages/landlords-win-legal-battle-over-lenders-unfair-mortgage-rate-ris/ So BTL lenders can't vary a tracker rate unless the base rate changes, and they can't call in a mortgage that's not in default. I'm on a 20 year tracker so very happy about this. It will be interesting to…

My first London flat (1988) is up for sale...
This is the flat I bought in London in 1988 as a second-time buyer. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-54507298.html It looks better than it is. When the toilet flushes upstairs you can hear the water making its way across the whole width of the building inches above your ceiling, which is so low you can…

Swiss voting on basic income of £21,000 a year!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-36443512 Seems a bit high, doesn't it? If the UK were to adopt a measure along those lines, the gross cost would be somewhere in the region of £1trillion per year, which is comparable to, if not slightly greater than, the entirety of current government spending. Obviously the upside…

It's not who votes that counts, it's who counts the votes.
It's not who votes that counts, it's who counts the votes. Scotland wasn't allowed to leave the UK, even though the people voted for it. It was rigged. Spain wasn't allowed to leave the EU, Greese wasn't allowed to leave the EU the U.K. has vast majority wanting to leave but it's goin to be rigged again.
