Does NatWest frequently offer 'existing customer' balance transfer deals?
I have a NatWest credit card with zero balance on it. Is it worth me keeping it in case they offer me an 'existing customer' balance transfer deal, or should I just close it? What are people's experiences with NatWest cards in this regard?

NatWest Credit Card Trap
Hi, I recently took out a NatWest Credit card with 23 month 0% interest on transfers and transferred balances to around 45% of the limit. A few months later, they cut my limit by 50% which has directly affected my credit score, claiming a review of my circumstances, which frankly had not materially changed except to…

Is Section 75 or Chargeback applicable?
I paid £829.25 to Booking.com for a return flight by cc. The flights were in 2 legs each way. For the inward journey one of the legs was cancelled by the airline and the other leg was therefore no use to me so I cancelled it, asked Booking.com for refunds for the 2 cancelled flights and booked new flights with Expedia. A…

Pending transactions at statement date?
I've ordered a few items from Amazon, but they're not due to be delivered until the 9th of January, which will be well after the next statement date, and the payment is currently showing as pending. If the payment is still pending, when the statement is produced, will this pending transaction appear as part of the account…

Getting a credit card as a student.
How to get a credit card when the rules seem dumb. I’ve suggested my daughter gets a credit card so she can
build a credit history for when she might want or need to buy a house or get a
loan for a car, it seems a good idea. But she’s a student and all the stuff on the web says you
can’t include your student maintenance…

Switching a Barclaycard 0% spend to a BC rewards card
I've had a barclaycard 0% spending for slow stooze for about a year and a half and have just BT the balance away. I'd like to change it to a rewards card to give a foreign spending option, at the moment the app says no. Perhaps this is due to the way I've used it, so I will try using it for a few purchases a month, pay in…

Travel/0% Trade-off
Hi all. I have to pay my holiday fee in Euros. Last year I had a 0% spending card from HSBC. Worked ok, spread the cost, but cost me a fee of 2.99%. I do have a Halifax Clarity, which wouldn’t charge the fee (and maybe better exchange rate?), but wouldn’t allow me to spread the cost. Given that most 0% balance transfer…

TSB Credit card - we're closing your account in Feb
Anyone else had a letter saying this, that due to lack of activity, they're closing your account? The weird thing is they had a promotion where you had to use the card X times for a £10 high street voucher. I did this at the end of November. Still awaiting the voucher (I paid off the credit card almost within days) which…

JL/Waitrose voucher not recognised
Hi all, Sorry if this isn’t the correct section to post in, but this seemed to be the one most closely related to vouchers. I’ve got a John Lewis/Waitrose voucher query and hoping someone here might be able to help please. I got a £200 JL/Waitrose e-gift voucher that can be spent in-store or online, valid from 22 Dec 2022…

Issue with Nationwide refusing to give information about my account
Hi everyone, I’m after some help regarding an issue I’m having with the Nationwide Building Society. I noted a small unknown payment in my bank statement one day and queried with Nationwide as I didn’t recognise the sender. This was a credit under £10. After an investigation they’ve stated the money is from a credit card I…

Barclays to Santander balance transfer - computer says no?
Hi wise people, does anyone know what’s going on with this one? When I try to balance transfer 3k from my new Santander card to Barclaycard on a 0% offer, the payment is taken from my Santander card for 48 hours, never appears on my Barclaycard, then the payment gets reversed back to my Santander card, with the message…

Barclaycard Platinum offer via MSE site
According to the MSE newsletter and soft search, I have a 100% chance of getting a Barclaycard Platinum CC with a 22month at 0%. However, the link didn't work. Has anyone else applied today? Edit, I found a way of applying though a different link, direct to Barclaycard, and it seems to have gone OK!

Direct debit keeps failing and both banks blame each other. What to do? (Amex > Chase)
I signed up for an AmEx Gold (UK) card in April and set up a direct debit (DD) with my Chase account. The first payment went through, but all subsequent DDs have failed. I've been manually paying since then. Here’s what happened: * Both AmEx and Chase blame each other for the issue. * Last month, I set up a new DD and…

Ineligible because credit score too high?
Is it possible (or even probable) that those of us with high credit scores can be ineligible for 0% interest with no fee balance transfer cards (such as the new Barclaycard offer) because we are almost 100% certain to repay on time before the end of the 0% interest period? The logic would be that there is (effectively) 0%…
