Hello, I've got a Sainsburys card that allows 0% on purchases,which is fine. Though I would rather use the 0% for balance transfers from other cards. But they charge a higher rate for balance transfers. Is there any way i can get around their purchases only rule and really what are the benefits of the purchases only cards?…

Can credit card companies really make enough money from the people who don't leave and afford to give away the cost of funding all the 0% balances for those people who do? If they're just using their existing customers to fund it, doesn't that mean that people taking multiple 0% deals are just taking it from the people too…
