Received first 3 grants, will I get 4th? Filed 19/20 late
Hi, so my tax returns for have been up to date from 2015 until recently. I have received the first 3 grants based on my 18/19 tax returns. HOWEVER, I only filed my 19/20 yesterday (4th March). My account charges £400 to file tax returns and I’ve never found myself competent enough to do it myself so I’ve left it late as my…

RESTART GRANT FOR HAIR SALONS
Are hair salons getting up to £18000 restart grant in April? I'm confused, because I read that non essential shops were getting up to £6000, but that hair salons and gyms would get up to £18000, because being heavily impacted by restrictions.

2021 Budget. Self employed shafted again?
Am I the only one to notice this? If so he did a good job of missleading everyone. So this weeks budget announces the Self Employed Income Support Scheme grant has been extended for another 6 months up to september. That sounds good doesn't it? For those that don't know, the SEISS has been paying a grant to self employed…

SEISS 5th grant duration
I’m sure Rishi Sunak said yesterday that as well as extending the furlough scheme until end September, help for the self-employed would be extended to the same date.. and that a 5th SEISS grant would be available covering the period May-September (5 months) Forgetting for now the turnover qualification - as far as I’m…

Flexible Furlough Payment Query
My husband is on Flexible Furlough being paid 80% of his salary. In February he was asked to work some hours. He worked 10.5 hours in total.I have worked out that for the month of February his contractual hours were 136 (34 hours per week). Had he not done any work his Furlough payment should have been for 109 hours. As he…

After being made redundant in Sept 2021 i have gone back to commission based sales (Insurance). The self employed help schemes seem that they are not for me and I’m claiming Universal Credit. Seiss Grants included as profit?
Does anyone know if the grants claimed will be included as trading profit? If the grants are included this will mean a lot of self employed will lose out as the grants will increase profit meaning 5th grant can’t be claimed by many as won’t show 30% reduction if grants are included in trading profit total. Anyone shed…

Support grant qualification
Support Grant Does anyone understand this. Rishi stated in the budget that "600,000 who BECAME self employed last year can now claim the 4th business support grant but only as long as you completed a tax return by midnight" Tuesday, im baffled. We started a business in April last year so theoretically qualify . We have…

Another SEISS question - sorry
My wife and I operate our business as a partnership. We have successfully claimed the first 3 SEISS grants with both of us receiving half of the total grant payment. In tax year 2019/20 my pension income kicked in and was greater than the net profit for that year, however my wife received no income during the year other…

Why is there such a big gap between third and fourth seiss grants?
So the date from which you could claim the 3rd SEISS grant was 29th November and this was to cover the period from Nov '20 to the end of Jan '21. The fourth grant which is supposed to cover the period from Feb '21 to April '21 won't be open to claims until (according to en emil I just received from HMRC) "late April" How…

SEISS with setting up another business
Hey all, Would love some feedback. I'm a wedding photographer so, I've been unable to work in that capacity since covid broke bar a few occasions. I did however, setup another company that's done quite well. Looking at the criteria for the 4th grant, it states I should expect reduced trading profits. Is that based on my…

No 4th SEISS grant for me?
Hi. I got the 3 SEISS grants based on 18-19 tax return. Around £3.5k per payment. My profit for 19-20 tax return is more than £50k but not much, just over. Does this mean I won't get 4th SEISS grant because HMRC are using 19-20 tax returns not 18-19 returns as they did for SEISS grants 1 to 3?
