24 month renewal of Plusnet bb with copper landline
I just signed up for a 24 month Plusnet renewal which will end in January 2026 (I was told a shorter contract would raise monthly cost.) I would like to ask advice about this here during the 'cooling off period' regarding the cessation of the traditional landline service. I want the traditional landline for as long as…

Is BT ripping off elderly neighbour for phone and broadband?
I was just chatting to a neighbour - an elderly (80+) widow living on her own - and was shocked to learn that she's paying BT over £70/month for what sounds like a standard broadband and phone line package. She isn't sure exactly which package she's on, but apparently she's been with BT for years and has never bothered to…

Shell Energy cancelling my order on activation date!
Two days before my activation date, I called Shell Energy to ask about my not-received-yet router. All agents reassured me that everything is OK and I might receive it the following day and they would call me back. Next day, I called again. All well, all reassuring, even suggesting me that in case of delay I will be…

Renewed virgin contract but they say I haven’t
My Virgin contract was coming to an end, on the 12/12/23 I was offered a deal to renew online with a better price than I am currently paying so I clicked through and renewed. I currently with Plusnet for FTTC, phone and broadband, contract runs out in about 3 months. I am nervous about going with Vodafone, due to bad reports and review…

Box Broadband change T&C to allow CPI+2.9% price escalator - For information
I suppose this was to be expected. I thought a 24 month contract that didn't mention this would mean that I'd get 24 months at the original price and THEN the rise, but it seems not. My free deal ends in April 2024. It's still the best deal in town form me and not available from anyone else even for more money. Box…

I was supposed get FTPP last week - via CityFibre with Zen. Does anyone have any recent experience of dealing with NOW
Broadband retentions? I'm already out of contract but my current package discounts are
expiring soon - Super Fibre + Anytime Calls, £22.50 p/m rising to £46.50 p/m. I had a brief chat the other week and NOW wouldn't budge
from £25 p/m with no call package included.…

BT landline deal
This is probably a cross over question so I apologise in advance. I recently changed over to a BT Landline deal due to being on a specific benefit, everything was fine until recently when there was a problem with the internet dropping out every 15 minutes which of course meant that the VOIP phones do not work. I did…

Is getting a BT line installed worthwhile or are there other, cheaper broadband solutions?
We're looking to move to a house which doesn't currently have a BT phone line. Is it worth paying the £140 to have one installed for broadband, or are there most cost effective solutions out there? The 4g signal seems to be quite reasonable.
